Wasn’t Jesus just a good teacher?

Jesus undoubtedly existed, the historical records, archeology all point to it, his existence and presence on this earth are beyond refute. However, wasn’t he just a good person, wise beyond his generation, an inspired teacher with wise sayings that you can take or leave?
This is what so many believe about Jesus, however this so far removed from what Jesus said about himself, for example : I am the way, the truth and the life, or if you have seen me you have seen the Father, the Son of Man has the power to forgive sins and on the list could go. Now to pick up on CS Lewis arguement that Jesus is either a mad man, a liar or he is who he says he is The Lord of the universe. He simply does not leave the option of simply being called a teacher. How does he appear to you? Does he appear as on who is a habitual liar, as one who is raving mad or is he as he claimed to be the Saviour of the world who has come to forgive you, to show you his love? Can we encourage you to turn to him today, in your heart to say sorry and trust him as your God. He laid his life down for you upon that cross to make payment for the debt you owe to him, he did it for you, today is the day of salvation?
